    I have had a few of Gav’s waders over the years – I cover a lot of kms in them and have put them through their paces. I fish a lot of rivers and lakes …often going through all sorts of terrain and bush to get in or out. They are always great waders and last through many seasons usually. I think these ones are the comfiest waders I have had and they look good too. I’d be happy to buy them again when these ones are worn out.

    Delivery was prompt, but the Stalker Backcountry waders had only a limited range of sizes and the wader’s I ordered had legs that were way too long. An inside leg length needs to be given so the correct size can be ordered. So, I exchanged them for the River Works waders that have a greater range of sizes.

    I had an earlier version of these waders. They lasted for a really long time. The rubber bootie was too small though (I took a L size wader, but with a 12 US shoe size I should have taken the XL size wader). Eventually the toe on both feet wore through. Possibly repairable. The rest of the material is still in good condition.
    If not for the too small wetsuit bootie I would have given the waders a 5 star rating. they have been really durable and were in my view excellent VFM. Why go with SIMMS when you can get an (at least) equally good product at a fraction of the cost. Well done Gav!

    Excellent product however the bootie is too small for the wader size. I would definitely purchase the stalker waders again. Durability can not be faulted.

    Excellent waders. I have used them in fresh and saltwater for over a year and they haven’t leaked. I would highly recommend.

    the first pair i ordered leaked right out of the box. Gav’s team were great and sent me a new pair with no troubles, but after 2 days of pretty easy wading (i.e. no blackberries or falls down rock faces) they started to leak at the seams on the inside of the knees.

    Quality waders without the crazy price tag. Bought just over two years ago and mostly used in salt water (my local estuary). I developed a leak in the toe of one bootie a couple of weeks back. Easy fix with Aquaseal and now good as new again. I won’t hesitate to buy the same ones again when the time comes.
